| So, I'm horrible about doing these web blog entries. It just takes so much time. I'm really bored right now, though. I finished my homework that is due tomorrow and I really don't feel like doing my work that is due Friday. Plus, I am not going to be in the room much longer. I'll be heading to bible study soon and then after that I am going to a recording session. I guess I'll be recording Legende Pastorale by Benjamin Godard, but PT did not actually tell me about tonight. I heard about the recording session from Candice first and then Mary Beth. I did ask about the next time we would be recording in my lesson on Monday, so I would assume that PT wants me to come. I think I'll take a couple of pieces, though, because I have two songs that I could potentially record. The Godard piece is the one I'm going to be doing in the Noon Recital on March 29, so I would say that is top priority. That will be the first time that I have performed by myself in front of a group of people besides at church. So, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I won't get nervous and mess up. I used to be really bad about that, but it has gotten better. Well, you're probably tired of reading my ramblings, so I guess I'm done(I know, I'm pretty boring). TTYL. | | |
| It's been a while since I've made a post, so I'm going to. Plus, I don't really want to do any of the work I should be doing. I'm so excited! I'm going home tomorrow! It's been three weeks since I've seen Cody and I really, really miss him. I also get to hear my highschool band perform. Tomorrow night is their Concert Band Contest. Cody keeps talking about how much he loves this song they are playing, so I'm really looking forward to hearing it. I really like to listen to bands perform, anyway. It will probably make me miss being in that band. Pocahontas has a really good band program. Ask me sometime and I will let you hear a recording of the Pocahontas High School Band playing when I was in it(my band director made c.d. of all our contest performances for the seniors last year). So, everything is going pretty well for me. I really like my job. The only sad thing is that my boss is leaving. So, I'm getting a new one. My my new boss is nice, too, though. The only thing that is not going to well is Awayday. That piece is so hard. I hope we can get in 2 rehearsals before our concert. Well, I am going to be positive and say that we will. I got a lot to do practice wise and not enough time to practice. I'll manage, though. I usually seem to find a way. Well, I guess I'm going to go now. Have a great weekend everyone! | | |
| Cody did the sweetest thing last night. I guess it was actually early this morning. We he and I first talked from about 9:30 to 11:00 it didn't really go well the whole time. He and I both were not feeling very well and we were both in bad moods and we were missing each other. So, this morning he called me at a quarter til two. I didn't wake up and get to the phone until after it stopped ringing so I had to call him back after he left a voice message. He told me how much he loved and how much I mean to him. He apologized for earlier in the night and said that he just wasn't in a good mood, but that shouldn't be an excuse. It made me feel so much better. We talked for a little bit and then went back to bed. He always seems to time things perfectly when it comes to doing something sweet. I love him so much. Well, that's all for now. TTYL | | |
| So, it's been a while since I have made a post. I stay pretty busy with classes and my job now, plus I go home most weekends. I am really enjoying my job and my classes are going pretty well so far. This weekend was pretty good, except for a couple of things. On Friday I got a parking ticket right before I left. I was gone for like two minutes to run up to my room to get my luggage and I came back and I had a parking ticket. I don't get it. I thought it was okay to park in the circle in front of Towers with your flashers on, if you weren't gone long. I am appealing the ticket, but I don't know if it will work. I hope it does. Fifty dollars is a lot of money. I almost flipped out last night, too, because I thought I had lost my room key, but it turned out it was in my trunk of all places. They must have slipped out of my pocket when I was loading my car Friday. I am just glad I found them. Well, anyway on to the good parts of my weekend. I watched a lot of movies this weekend. I watched The Legend of Zorro and Must Love Dogs with my mom. They were both pretty good. I watched Red Eye with my sister. It was creepy and good. I watched The Notebook and a movie called Waiting with Cody. Of course The Notebook was good. Waiting was all right, but it is not really my type of movie, but that is okay. I always enjoy the time I get to spend with Cody. On Sunday afternoon before I left I stopped at Cody's for about an hour before I left. His five-year-old cousin had gotten these velcro nerf guns that came with vests. We played with those for a while and it was a lot of fun. It's fun to act like a little kid every once in a while. Well, I guess I am going to go. Cody is going to be calling soon and I want to get to bed right after that. TTYL. | | |
| I have really exciting news! I'm so happy. I got a job on campus. I'm so excited. I'm working in the admissions office for Mirra Smith. I get to choose my hours, which is totally awesome. Basically my main job will be helping to plan Show-Me Days. I will be entering prospective students names into the computer and things of that sort. I will also be working on Show-Me Days to help make sure everything is in order. I will also just be helping Mirra with anything she needs help with. This is exactly the kind of job I wanted. I am starting tomorrow. I going to be trained on the computer program I will be using. Something else exciting that has happened, too. Just last night I realized I needed to make some major adjustments in my bible study and prayer time. God was really speaking to me last night in my small group bible study. I've started carrying out my plan to fix that today. So, just keep me in your prayers that I won't backslide in that again. Thanks. Today has been a really good day. TTYL. | | |
